Humanity, where art thou?
Knocked out by a racing car, a cripling body falls down on the road. A palm stretched out for a penny is just ignored on the road. Bombs in Syria have rendered millions homeless and children are left without a guiding hand on the road. And here we live in the 21st century, oh! The irony! Kindness and humanity, attributes being constantly absorbed by the darker society our world faces today. A world where the light of peace and harmony keeps flickering day by day heading towards a dying tomorrow.
Chemical attacks in the east with the revengeful air strikes from the west. Meaningless wars over religion and ISIS waiting for world dominion. Girl infants being raped and left to be eaten up by our judicial monsters. Thousands sleeping homeless and the ones with a roof over their head just mourning over their death. Alas! But this is the world we view today, where rape is recorded but justice is not. A mere eight year old's rape is made a religious joke and makes a person wonder, " wasnt female infanticide a better option!?" where jeans and burqah argue whose fault it was, the diaper shudders in a corner, too scared to speak. Where all one can do is change his display picture over social media or go out on candle light marches. Another set of pictures added to her social media gallery or snapchat score. Our sons daily die at the borders, coffins are what reach their waiting mothers. People are shot in the head just because of their dark hue. Stadiums are bombed, lives are lost. These are just cases which lie on the ocean like a deceiving iceberg, what lies beneath is even more. Bullying, ragging, harassing , things which just keep eliminating the little hope of brightness only climbing down to reach a dark hell.
Ever wondered or asked yourself, would you help a lost child at a huge shopping centre? Would you stand up for your classmate being bullied? Would you help an old lady cross the road? Would you give up your seat in a local train for a pregnant woman? The yearn for humanity and kindness is what i see when i look into the eyes of that dying girl, yelling with pain, begging for mercy again and again. I see it when i look into the hands of that beggar forced to beg to feed his stomach. I see it in the face of that proud mother when she looks at her martyred son. I see it in the eyes of a citizen when he/she
looks at his/her Government. Oh! The yearn! To bring back the world we had before when the lamp was bright, when people were humane not just human. Kindness and humanity are the only values which can keep this world alive and at the end of every dark tunnel, there is light! Which brings a new tomorrow...let us all wake up and question ourselves, " is is too late to be humane?" " is it too late to have faith in a world hard to exist?" NO! Because
"faith is that bird that feels the light when the dawn is still dark."

Grammar and choice of words are just out of the world and the subject expressed so so so very well - way beyond my imagination. Nevertheless, referring as "her / his" should be changed to "their". Bang on as far as an article for a news paper. But is the article honest enough to reflect the authors self interest and self working on the subject in the practical world if and when the situation arises or in small way on the situation that exists now? Or will remain just be satisfying the personal happiness of the author to pen down her expressions thru the medium of a language so very well learnt?
